Welcome to my legislative website. I am humbled and honored to serve you and our communities throughout the 20th Legislative District.
As an attorney and business owner, but more importantly, a husband and father, I am committed toward a greater future for our families and our state. I believe in community-based solutions to address those “kitchen-table” issues facing us all. This includes bridging the partisan divide and working together to ensure more jobs, quality education, and open and accountable government.
I invite you to join with me to help strengthen our communities and build a better Washington. Please contact my office any time with your thoughts, concerns, questions, and suggestions about your state government.

Tax relief is about trust. I trust families and small businesses to manage their hard-earned money. That is why I supported tax relief and putting money back in your pockets and budgets where it belongs. Unfortunately, in the 2021-22 legislative sessions, the majority party passed the largest supplemental operating budget in state history — a $6.1 billion increase over current 2021-23 spending — bringing total state spending to a record $65 billion. While the state sat on a $15 billion budget surplus, the majority party passed tax increases and fought Republican efforts to provide any form of tax relief to struggling taxpayers.
Learn how my colleagues and I are working to make Washington affordableI share the public’s frustration with the soft approach the majority party is taking to public safety. Instead of choosing criminals over victims, we must ensure you feel safe in your home, at your business, and throughout our communities. Republicans offered several solutions in the 2021-22 legislative sessions, including the Safe Washington Plan, but many were rejected by the majority party. Republicans also delivered critical votes to address the flawed police reform bills passed in 2021; sadly problems remain and the majority party refuses to truly ‘fix’ the problem.
Discover what House Republicans are doing to protect our communitiesFor a second straight year, I advocated for reasonable changes to the state law that grants extensive powers to Washington’s governor during a state of emergency. For the second legislative session in a row, the majority party did not act on the issue of emergency powers reform. This should not be a partisan issue in the Legislature. Rather, it is about restoring balance and faith in state government and giving people a voice during states of emergency.
See what my colleagues and I are doing to hold government accountableI believe we must strengthen families and strengthen local communities. Unfortunately, the 2021-22 legislative sessions saw the majority party continue policies that weaken and deteriorate families. Instead of encouraging greater parental involvement, the majority party passed legislation that takes away parental rights, involvement, and decision making.
