Abbarno amendment would have studied statewide impacts of low-carbon fuel standard mandate; Democrats say no
During debate on House Bill 1091, the low-carbon fuel standard mandate, Rep. Peter Abbarno offered Amendment 134. The amendment would have required the Office of Financial Management to conduct an independent economic analysis of the mandate through 2050, including effects on employers and employment, and the equities and inequities of economic impacts. Majority Democrats rejected Abbarno’s amendment, 39-53.
