House Bill 1143 passed the House by a vote of 52-44.

Abbarno spoke on the House floor to support Amendment 421 that would exempt concealed carry permit holders from 10-day waiting period when purchasing a firearm.
Abbarno spoke in favor of Amendment 419 that would treat the government the same as citizens in regard to gun laws.
Abbarno urged the House to vote against final passage of House Bill 1143, which would require citizens to have a permit in order to buy a gun.
